Play Specialists

Play Specialists are responsible for maintaining the play area. This includes - but is not limited to - greeting guests, assisting in the retail area, assisting with guest check in - which may include checking or selling tickets, checking waivers, escorting guests to the event space, educating guests on various games and services available. Other duties may include maintaining the cleanliness of the entry area and front lobby/cafe area, maintaining stock of advertising paraphernalia and retail items, as well as coordinating with other facility staff, event coordinators, and management for special events and / or immersive dining experiences. Friendly and pleasant demeanor is expected at all times, particularly during game playing times around guests.

Primary Role

Educate guests about the Electric Playhouse and what we have to offer
Assist in maintaining the play, retail and entry areas Maintain cleanliness of admissions and front lobby/cafe area
Maintain cleanliness of play areas and all recreational spaces
Maintain stock levels and presentation of any advertising paraphernalia and retail items
Coordinate with ticketing attendants, Event coordinators, and Management for any special events and / or immersive dining experiences or special groups
Promotes and maintains the highest level of customer service to all guests while staying alert to their needs. Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refers the matter to management. Notifies supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, safety concerns, special circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
Performs weekly and monthly inventories
Learn, understand and demonstrate all available games and experiences to guests
Learn and execute a standard of friendly active play for all ages of customer
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Primary Role
Assist Bartender in restocking liquor, ice, glassware, bitters, soda, water, sugar, fruits, and anything else the Bartender needs
Assess customers’ needs and preferences
Maintains proficient knowledge of backstock beverages, liquor, glassware, etc
Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume

Attain and maintain any and all required alcohol and food safety licensing
Ability to keep bar appearance to the highest standards Be able to assist the bartender to identify and prevent guests from excessive drinking
Must have a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Have knowledge of proper portion control to prevent overpouring, under-pouring, and loss.
Have the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment Fill out all checklists, waste sheets, and incident reports

The Culinary Scientist (Line Cook) prepares food items according to recipes and standards, taking pride in the excellence and quality of cuisine, while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.

Primary Role
Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
Proper handling, storage of all food items.
Clean up station and take care of leftover food Prepares all ingredients for the shift before service begins.
Answer, report and follow Executive/Sous Chef’s instructions
Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Knowledge of cooking procedures relevant to the menu. which mainly focuses on pantry items, prepping, sandwiches, salads, and desserts.
Maintain Food Handlers Certification
Work with cold and extremely hot food products, utensils, dinner plates and glassware
Must be able to work flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, special events and occasional late evenings as required
Maintain the highest level of safety in the facility through implementation of safety protocols and procedures

Organic Material Specialist (Dish/Prep)

Organic Material Specialist (Dish/Prep) is responsible for removing biological waste generated from the remains of our gastronomical creations. When you're not busy destroying germs and making the world (and our dishes) a cleaner place, you will provide support to our crew of Culinary Scientist and Sustenance Delivery Specialists. Come put your superhero powers of positivity and charm to good use and join our fun and friendly crew.

Primary Role
Maintain a clean kitchen, ensuring all soiled dishes are properly washed and sanitized
Clean, per approved sanitation and safety guidelines, all related food and beverage preparation/serving items and equipment
Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces, parboiling food, and prepare simple dishes, such as salads and entrees.

Keep dish area clean, free of clutter, and organized Operate trash compactor and dishwasher per approved guidelines
Receive and store food supplies
Set up workstations and food ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes and specifications Assists in food preparation and any other duties as assigned by the Chef and kitchen manager
Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food and prepare simple dishes such as salads
Attain and maintain current food handler’s card and other certification as required by federal/state/local law
Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment, food preparation, and dishwasher operation
Have a flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
